Four Days Left

... until I go back to school. I have ordered all of my books off of Amazon, saving SO MUCH because the book store at school likes to drain the students bank accounts, and as of tomorrow I will have started packing. But, the exciting thing is that one of my classes required more material than could be purchased from Amazon. An Acoustic GUITAR! Typing with my new nails is proving t be a lt more complicated than I remember and they're going to hae to go before my most anticipated class of Spring 2009 begins, but yes I am finally going to do my best at learning how to play the guitar. Playing the guitar has been a goal of mine for a very long time and I am finally doing something about it. I am seriously hoping that I have more luck with this thn the drums, piano, trumpet, violin, and flute (all instruments I have dabbled with). But the difference between guitar and those others is that guitar is not only something I want to learn, it is something I need to learn. Its a long story but a job that is part of my current five year plan requires that I am fluent in guitar, so I am finally taking matters into my own hands because freaky friday isn't real and i won't wake up one day having traded lives with Santana.

I am also excited about going back to school for many other reasons than just the guitar;

Number 1: I get to rush. People make fun of me for it, but it doesn't change the fact that I have been dreaming about being in a Sorority since I could pronounce Delta Gamma. Unfortunatly, there is no DG at Elon, so I've ad to do some reconsidering, but going into recruitment I feel incredibly prepared. I feel like I have done enough aequate research on every house that now I can relax an meet the girls and find what feels like home... well as much as could feel like home in NC. I am excited to dress in my buisness casual and cocktail atire. I am excited to learn all about different organizations phialnthropys, but most of all I am excited to meet a huge group of girls who have all gone through their first year at college and have miraculously survived. I am excited to have sisters at school, since I miss mine so much.

Number 2: Getting closer to picking my major. Political Science or History or some combination of the two. I am taking American Government and US History Since 1865. Both classes that I am incredibly excited about with teachers who did really well on Rate My Prof. These are the subjects I have been interested in since as long as I can remember and having both of them at once is like BOOM, as Chris would say and Catie would try to.

Number 3: I am ready for it to be summer and having school start means its closer. As simple as that.

Number 4: This really shouldn't be four it should be one but I am missing the girls of Danieley I 203, and Cocloughy (sp?) 101, 102 and that one boy in 103. I am excited to see everyone again and to get back into the swing of things. Going to visit Ben at Stanford made me want to get back to my own college campus.

All in all I have a lot to do before I go, but it is time to go back. I finally understand what that feels like.

I worked on my Lair app today for an hour or so. I forgot what it was like to apply to something. The ever so hard work of glorifying yourself without seeming completely pompous, but unfortunately that's all I could feel. How am I supposed to be Brief explaining my experience in Music/Theater when the greater part of the last nineteen years of my life have been making sure that my experience in Music/Theater was NOT brief in the least bit. How do you make yourself sound desirable without seeming like you are completly self obsessed? And on top of that how do you do it in a professional manor when all you want is your charm to come through?

This is something I'm going to have to work on, but it has to be quick because I need to get this in as soon as possible; before I decide not to apply because of a certain person who makes me want to stay home. Is being in the same place with a person for more than a day too much to ask for?

I added music to my blog page today. I find it exciting. Its not like myspace was where you went to someone's page and instantly you were flodded with their music overlapping your iTunes because this you can turn to click on and off. But I like that what has been on loop on my computer is now another puzzle piece in this thing that is supposed to help me express myself in a way that I hadn't before.

When I was in middle school I would keep journals because I figured when they made my life into a movie some day it would be good for them to have details... but then I realized, all they had to do was talk to anyone who knew me and they would know everything I did with every moment of my day. Not to long ago a friend of mine asked me if I had any deep dark secrets and as I pondered the question I realized that no, I don't. I really truly don't. In some ways I wish I did, someting to make myself more mysterious. But I find that talking things out is the way to go. If you can't figure something out in your own head that is very important, you shoul talk it out and you are certain to find that a friend might have an opinion on the subject that you had not considered before. My close friends have helped me with those opinions this break more than any before and have made ceratin behaviors in my life become crystal clear. It is a great comfort to know that there are people with more knowledge than me out there, because if you know everything there is nothing left to learn and the world becomes very boring.

This started out about applications... wow.

www.astro.com

I was talking to one of my coworkers last night about astrology and all things related and she told me to go to astro.com because her friend who has done a lot of research on the subject says that is her best recommendation for an astrology site.

This is what it told me.

Sun in Sagittarius, Moon in Capricorn
Your Sagittarian impulsiveness and rashness benefit from the propriety and reliability inherent in Capricorn. Ambition is channeled toward higher learning and thought. Your life has form and order, and you go about your affairs in a methodical fashion. There is an aura of respectability about all aspects of your life. Your love life, however, can be somewhat less rewarding. You seem self-contained, and you find difficulty in letting go enough to accept another human being. Ruled by your ambitious and practical nature, you approach others with caution, often suspicion. The key to a more harmonious self lies in achieving a proper balance between your impulsive, optimistic, individuality and your steadfast, plodding personality. Try to retain the buoyancy without giving free reign to flightiness.

Ascendant in Taurus, Venus in the Ninth House
At the time of your birth the zodiacal sign of Taurus was ascending in the horizon. Its ruler Venus is located in the ninth house. Taurus is the second sign of the zodiacal belt and within its rulership there are determination, common sense, possessiveness, and a tendency to seek material wealth. You appear as a solid, secure, even slow person, fond of moving along tangible lines, disliking abstract speculation. You are loyal and steadfast in your affections. Your overall attitude is amiable, exhibiting much patience in dealings with other people. You are a sensuous person who likes to indulge in healthful but always pleasurable activities. In spite of this, however, you have a tremendous capacity for exercising both will-power and physical strength. A major difficulty you encounter in life is due to your inflexibility; once you have made up your mind, you are closed to all other suggestion or opinion. Venus, the ruler of your life, appears in the ninth house. This directs your life, despite the less intellectual aspects of your basic Taurus nature, to the pursuit of philosophy, religion, metaphysics, logic, and in material matters, to land travel. You possess much common- sense, practicality, and healthy sentiments. Your higher thoughts are fine, rational, analytical and well defined. You can become a patron to anything which includes both reason and beauty, and which will enhance existence with joy and a humanistic spirit. Most important, however, is that you have a kind and gentle disposition and an avid love for culture.

Sun in the Seventh House
The Sun was found in the seventh house at the time of your birth. Among other things, this means that your individuality is required to accomplish certain important developments in connection with associations and marriage. It appears, that you will be married to a rather proud but dignified individual, and much of all the progress that you will make in life will be a derivation of your relationship. In any instance, you can expect throughout life the origination of lasting attachments and noble friendships.

Mars Opposition Ascendant
Mars opposition the Ascendant shows that you attract people who threaten you. You do not really have that much self-confidence; your aggressive actions are an attempt to convince yourself that you do. Meeting others in competition is how you learn to assert yourself constructively, with greater self-control and discipline. Naturally argumentative, you are not the easiest person to get along with. You must learn to be more compromising if you want peace and harmony. Making concessions shows strength of character, not weakness, and if you realize this, you will be respected for your maturity. In personal relationships, your offensive tactics force you to raise your defenses when the going gets rough. But an attitude of superiority often masks feelings of inferiority or inadequacy. You have a lot of creative energy you should express. Remember, it is what you do rather than what you say you can do that is important. Develop more self-control, or you will run into many troublesome situations that could be extremely difficult to resolve.

Pluto Opposition Ascendant
Pluto opposition the Ascendant shows that you attract people with powerful egos and strong temperaments. You have a strong desire for close, intimate contact with many of the people you associate with. You make extensive demands of the people you deal with, but you resent it when similar demands are made of you. Such problems can ruin otherwise fascinating relationships. Your talents lie in your ability to direct people, so public relations is a field you should apply yourself to. You generally get what you want when you want it, and you do not tolerate refusal of your demands. If you are motivated to change people's attitudes about their social obligations, you can accomplish miracles.

Moon in the Ninth House
The Moon was found in the ninth house at the time of birth. Your higher mind has the potential to expertly reflect the teachings of elevated knowledge that you may receive throughout your life. You will have an ability to quickly adjust to varying conditions. You are endowed with a clever and resourceful imagination, and a mind which is receptive to ideals, higher thoughts, and perhaps even metaphysical matters. Throughout life you are going to solve many critical situations by your ingenious and highly inventive mind which has an abundance of new and humane plans and ideas.

Venus in the Ninth House
Venus was found in the ninth house at the time of birth. Your mind appears as very adaptable, gentle, peace-loving and tactful. This position indicates that the secret for your ability to reach a state of harmony and emotional balance may come through the use of your higher mental powers. You have been born with an exquisitely refined, artistic mind which has a very subtle appreciation of all that has to do with culture. Your disposition is kind, congenial, gentle and sympathetic and you have a natural ability to assist other individuals. This position gives you much social intercourse with intellectual persons and success derived therefrom. Merely minor disabilities will affect you in your intellectual endeavors. The worst that could happen would be an overly inquisitive, indecisive nature that never seems to be satisfied. However, you have within you the ability to avoid these psychological obstacles.

Saturn in the Ninth House
Saturn was found in the ninth house at the time of birth. This indicates that your concern over the impermanence of all things will urge you to restrict your personality traits and assume a position of caution and planning before pursuing any important matter. In a practical sense, your attitude to all higher intellectual functions is that of a studious, serious, and meditative person. You must, however, be attentive to the possible presence of several challenging elements in your intellectual make-up such as depression, fear, and severity.

Happiness Is...

I realized today that I rarely, if ever, use this medium to talk about how happy I am. Normally I'm just fed up with something and take this area to rant, but I am such a happy person. I have been my entire life. The glass has always been half full and the sun will always come up tomorrow. Of course I choose right now to write about it when I have to leave for work in twenty minutes and still have to get dressed but I really am very happy. I have been fortunate to meet and develop relationships with so many amazing people in my life that I can't even imagine what life would have been without them. Because that's where most of my happiness comes from, human relations with friends, family, and even acquaintances. I go to this amazing school, I have an incredible group to come home to and I can pretty much go to any big city around the country and know someone in the area. I really don't have time for this right now because I'm going to be late which is NOT good but I just need to thank everyone who has even been part of my life because each and everyone of you has helped me to grow and develop in a way that would not have happened. I try so hard not to take advantage of my many relationships with people because I know that nothing lasts forever, but GOD do I want them to.
